December 16, 2016: Publicly listed company Sampoerna Agro has divested its plantation unit Pertiwi Lenggara Agromas to Dhanistha Surya Nusantara (DSN Group) and Surya Nusantara Sawitindo (SNS) – both are subsidiaries of Indonesian cigarette maker Gudang Garam. The transaction was valued at Rp 447 billion ($33.2 million). Proceeds from the sale will be used to strengthen the company’s capital flow and capital structure, according to director of Sampoerna Agro, Budi Setiawan Halim.
