The Peat Portal was created http://www.peat-portal.net by GEC Malaysia in order to allow quick exchange of information, identification of problematic areas in peatland management, sharing of ideas, enhancing global awareness of pertinent issues in peatland management among Institutes, NGOs, management organizations…in ASEAN. Vietnam Environment Protection Agency is one of Peat Portal members and in charge of developing VietPeat Metadata. It will help all members of Peat Portal thru out the world could search peatland’s information more effective.
