SINGAPORE: Environment and Water Resources Minister Masagos Zulkifli will attend the 12th Conference of Parties to the ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution (AATHP COP-12) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday (Aug 11), the ministry said in a press statement on Wednesday.
The AATHP COP-12, attended by ASEAN Member States, will continue to review the haze and fire occurrences in the region over the past year and discuss the implementation of the AATHP.
This includes measures to monitor, prevent and mitigate transboundary haze pollution, as well as the implementation of the ASEAN Sub-Regional Haze Monitoring System, and exchange of information among countries, the ministry said.
