Description: The fire in Burns Bog in Canada that has been raging for nearly two weeks has finally been put out.

Vancouver -- After burning and smouldering for nearly two weeks, the Burns Bog fire is officially out.

Delta Fire Chief Gordon Freeborn said crews were packing up and leaving the site yesterday afternoon, 11 days after the fire first started.

At its zenith, more than 100 firefighters were battling the blaze at North America's largest domed peat bog.

Mr. Freeborn said a few hot spots remain. Parks crew will remain on the scene to patrol the bog.

An investigation has found the fire, which started Sept. 11, was started either by cigarette or a spark caused by an all-terrain vehicle.

Constable Kim Petruka of the Delta Police said the investigation is complete and no charges are expected because it is unlikely officials can pinpoint the exact cause of the fire that burned through more than 200 hectares.
